SPORT

At Robinson, we are fortunate to have many opportunities to play sport, most of them free!

Rowing

One of the most beloved sports in Cambridge is rowing. The boat club can cater for those with a competitive spirit and desire for high sporting achievement as well as those who just want to make friends and have a good social time. The Robinson College Boat Club plays host to a vibrant MCR-based community, but gives an opportunity to meet JCR members, too.

Other college sports

There are many other team sports available with a particularly strong rugby union team that does well in the inter-collegiate competitions. Football has a competitive first and a more social second team with plenty of fun to be had. Lacrosse is also quite popular and we have won Cuppers in recent years. There is also a very active badminton group which meets on a Sunday evening. Other sports available in college include hockey (with no need for your own stick or ability!), netball and mixed netball, cricket and many more.

University-level sport, ‘Blues’

The university has many other sports available, if you want to try out, try something new, or compete at a higher level! There are 77 sports clubs at the University, and you’re sure to find something that you’ll enjoy. For more information, see here.
