Formal Swaps
Formal swaps are a fantastic opportunity for our MCR members to meet people from other colleges and to experience the cuisine they have to offer. We are able to attend a range of different events offered by the other colleges; including superhalls, MCR formals and themed evenings. Robinson MCR is keen to organise between 5 and 7 swaps per term; both with the older and more modern colleges.
Those interested in attending swaps sign up to the individual events using the MCR webpage. Inevitably, some formal swaps prove to be very popular. Usually, the number of people who sign up to the events exceed the number of tickets available - we are normally given between 10 and 15 tickets per swap. In this case, a random ballot is drawn by the Ents officers to decide who is successful in being allocated a ticket.
IMPORTANT: it is policy of the MCR that if you are successful in getting a ticket, you must pay the MCR treasurer by the specified deadline. If you find you are no longer able to attend, you are still required to pay for the ticket and it is up to you to find someone to take your place on the swap.
