Graduate accommodation at Robinson is among some of the best in the University thanks to the investment a few years ago by the college in the building of 48 en-suite rooms in the garden of 3 Sylvester Road. These have dramatically added to the life of graduates at Robinson and also allows the college to provide accommodation to as many graduates as possible during their studies at Cambridge. In total, there are 80 graduate rooms on the main college site with 5 further rooms situated in Romsey Terrace down Mill Road. The descriptions below briefly outline the type of accommodation that is available at Robinson.


3A and 3B Sylvester Road

The highlight of the College's graduate accommodation is 3A and 3B Sylvester Road with 22 en-suite rooms and 2 disabled access en-suite rooms in each house. Finished in 2008, these houses still look and feel new. Rooms are arranged over three floors with a shared kitchen and lounge on each floor. Each kitchen contains a large fridge-freezer along with two cookers, washing machine and tumble dryer.


3 Sylvester Road (Sellenger)

A delightful three floored house at the front of the graduate complex spread out over three floors. Formerly the home of Lady Barlow, the grand-daughter of Charles Darwin and cousin of the artist Gwen Raverat, and has been a graduate house for a number of years. There is a large communal kitchen on the ground floor with two cookers and three fridge-freezers along with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are shared bathroom facilities on each floor. The ground floor rooms all have original parquet wood floors and room 3 is of note for being the old library and has built in bookshelves on all four walls.


Thorneycreek

Thorneycreek sits at the heart of the college grounds with fantastic views over the lawn and lake. Before the main college building was built, the house was used to teach the first undergraduate members of the college; it is now the home of graduates and fellows. Split into three different parts, the house has multiple kitchens and bathrooms. Washing machines and tumble dryers are provided in each of the kitchens.


Thorneycreek Cottage

The charming cottage can be found to the side of Thorneycreek house, next to the gardens department. There are shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, which include laundry facilities.


1A Sylvester Road

There flats contain a separate living room/kitchen and private bathroom facilities. Please be aware that these flats are situated within an undergraduate house and are not suitable for couples with children.
